An editable result that preserves the layout

Formatara rebuilds the page element by element instead of turning the entire page into an image. It places text and fields according to the original, and recreates tables and forms even when some borders are missing.

What you can edit

  • PDF text and readable text inside scans or images.
  • Rows, columns, and cells in recognized tables, even when their borders are incomplete.
  • Form fields and sections.
  • Chart elements that can be identified reliably.

What remains an image

Photographs, logos, and stamps remain images when they are identified as such. A scanned page is not kept as a photograph: its text, tables, and fields are rebuilt so they can be edited. Shadows, folds, and scan distortions are discarded.

Before sharing: compare important figures, names, and fields with the original. A blurry scan, an unusual typeface, or a very complex layout can introduce differences.

For the best result

  • Use the clearest file available. If the PDF is protected, we will ask for its password before starting and will not store it.
  • Avoid tilted photos, shadows, and reflections.
  • It accepts multi-page documents and large files; one balance page is used for each detected page.
